Fun family Activities in Australia

Travelling with families always takes a lot more preparation than a regular holiday. Not only do we have the extra expense of food and accommodation, but a family holiday can still presents a few headaches regarding how to keep everyone occupied for such a mammoth journey.

Thankfully it’s now easier than ever to plan ahead, so here are a few Australian family activity ideas that range from fun beach activities to some of Lucky Nugget Casino’s online games for when the little ones are finally in bed!

Australia’s renowned for its beautiful beaches, and as such, beach activities are a perfect way for the whole family to let off some steam. And what better way to get ahead in the famous Aussie pastime of surfing than by getting the family to have a private surf lesson at Bondi Beach?

But even if you’re not keen on getting in the water, there’s still a lot of fun to be had. Wildlife fans are in for a treat with the world-famous whale watching tours off the Gold Coast that offer a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see humpbacks, blue whales and even bottle-neck dolphins in their natural habitat.

Australia is blessed with cities that offer a vibrant blend of cultures with some seriously cosmopolitan cuisine too. Should you be lucky enough to find yourself in Melbourne, then the massive Melbourne Star Ferris Wheel offers panoramic views over this magnificent city.

And no trip to Sydney is complete without a boat trip around the harbour seeing sites such as the iconic Sydney Opera House. Despite there being an attractive blend of luxury hotels and glamorous casinos in the Darling Harbour area, it’s probably not best-suited for families.

And finally, whilst heading across the Outback with your family may sound like a mammoth challenge, there’s thankfully some great resources such as the Missions in the Australian Desert game that encourages kids to spot and collect key Outback wildlife curiosities.

Just in case the whole family haven’t worn themselves out yet, then the Outback is world-famous for its star-gazing opportunities. So with little more than a telescope and Australia’s beautiful clear skies, your whole family can wonder at the glory of the cosmos together.
